Your all forgetting the bug once where you could attack your own team mates, for some reason people didnt like it (cant find anything to do with said bug, but there should be someone else around that remebers it ^^).

I'm sure the obvious points about griefing and Survivor title hopefuls have been ground into the dust already.
So I'll just say HELL no. You stay in your instance and I'll stay in mine.

only if Hardmode turning into Hardcore mode then you basically have diablo 2 all over again...
oh well it would at least weed out the idiots playing the game.

*Glob of Ectoplasm drops for Player 1*
*Player 2 has killed Player 1*
Player 2 waits for drop to become unassigned.
*Player 2 has picked up a Glob of Ectoplasm*
I may be way off and what not with that but I could definitely see that happening if they implemented that... just no. Never.

Yeah, getting to see some kid spam you all kind of random internet chatter after he toasted you with the latest gimmick build that you had no defense for. Yeah, noob, leet, pwned, 1337, right I want to see that crap. I would rather keep the role-playing fanasty aspect or find another game.
Also, I am looking forward to a pvp format close to what is in game now for GW2. I have wanted to try it now, but I know that I am late to the dance. I will love to be there in GW2 when it is fresh again.

I'd definitely feel bad for that next Obsidian tank who just angered the nukers in the back by claiming the nukers aren't doing anything if this is ever implemented.

I agree.
To the OP, is not enough to go and play PvP/GvG for you?
Honestly, some people just like to kill...kill and kill.

Your doing a quest in a not so populated area with loads of res shrines.
Random Sin comes along and shadowsteps to you.
You kill the Sin.
Hes appears at a close res shrine and comes back.
You kill the Sin.
He appears once again at the res shrine and comes back.
You kill the Sin.
He appears ONCE again at the res shrine......
Since some of the casual PvP area are already filled with the type of people who just always hunt their target and proceed to kill them over and over or die over and over a feature like PKing in GW or GW2 would be like having Navi back in Zelda OoT: They just would not p*ss off.

always bring a MM necro. that way, if there is a leecher, the MM can sacrifice himself and the minions will attack/kill the afk'er.
and no, one of the biggest things i hated in Diablo 2 was a lvl 100000 running around and killing me over and over again, and there being nothing i could do about it.
Edit:[sarcasm] and btw i think Navi was extremely helpful and not the least bit annoying [/sarcasm]

There should be a server that allows it, a server that allows it within restricted limitations, and a server that doesn't allow it at all.

In essense the "flag" system people talk about would avoid undesirable pks, however no game I know has ever introduced something like this - to the extend that we are talking about. Hence it would suggest that it would be a huge challenge to make something like this work properly.
Follow that thought further in asking yourself how many people would use this? Especially considering GW advertises itself as getting rid of things many players find annoying in normal mmos.
To be honest I'm not sure it would be worth the time or the effort to implement a "flawless" "flag-based" system.

If players where reasonable I would be all for players able to kill players in pve, sadly they are not
I guess this is what would happen.
Join a party to do a mission the other 7 players kill you near the end and take any items or kill you to prevent you getting the final reward that drops for you.
Guilds would arise to farm players and there would be player bandits and assassins.
Now thats reasonable on the face of it but it would be almost impossible to form a group of ai or player lawmen to track down and punish them.
They would simply go offline with that character for a month or so or move to another district.
If you are prepared to limit players to 1 character and have bounties posted for crimes committed so we could hunt players down for money including in towns then yes I am all for it.
I don't mind players being the bad guy just as long as there are consequences to their actions.
Might work well you could have cities where its easy to hide but there are guards looking out for you.
Smaller towns and outposts where no body cares what you did, and where you learn skills sell loot etc.
New classes
Bounty hunter and executioner.

Seriously, no thanks. PvP and PvE are seperate as of now, and personally, I'd prefer them to stay that way. In fact, I'd like never to come into contact with the PvP playerbase at all, but, hey, that's what single player games are for, right?
With a good thing always comes a price, I suppose.
Aside from my personal frown on competative play, PvEvP is something I don't feel belongs in Guild Wars. There are other games that offer it for a playerbase that is more about unifaction of PvP and PvE, but IMO, separation is the way to go, plus it cuts down on ganking/farmspot camping.
